PDL was delighted to be part of the Client design Team to refurbish and redevelopment of Café Vincent. Relocating the Kitchen to the opposite side of the floor plan allows for better access of deliveries of food and kitchen goods and allows a more functional space for the refurbished Café. Added to this is the freeing up of floor space from the old kitchen to provide more retail space on the shop floor. Construction was carried out in two phases. Phase one took on the ancillary elements like food storage/chillers/managers office, alterations to toilets etc. It was followed by phase two in the new year for kitchen relocation and complete refurbishment of the Café/sitting area. The second phase took less than 8 weeks. The success of the project was down to good planning between Client, Architect, Contractor, kitchen designers, electrical consultant and interior designers, the result of which was a smooth project on site.
