Extension and Remodelling of Pontardawe Fire Station, Swansea Valley
Alterations and first floor extension comprising sleeping and living accommodation to cater for the fire fighters’ changing duty patterns at Pontardawe Fire Station. The extension was built over the original building on an independent steel frame, utilising lightweight construction and rain screen cladding. The fire station was kept fully operational throughout construction.
